Pages: 132-134

ABSTRACT: The COVID-19 pandemic has brought major changes to healthcare organizations and changed the perspective of patients with cancer. It is interesting to study the trends of public awareness of oncourological diseases in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and scientific publications related to them. Lack of patient awareness may lead to a sense that the risks of COVID-19 outweigh those associated with cancer, leading to a risk of delayed diagnosis and reduced participation in early cancer screening programs.
Medical professionals dealing with oncourological diseases must respond by adapting and educating patients to a "new" scenario for informing patients about the meaning of screening, early diagnosis and personalized treatment of urological malignancies.
