ABSTRACT: The purpose of this research paper is to investigate the condition of the healthcare establishments for specialized outpatient care and the possibilities for development. We analyzed the condition of 6 diagnostics and consultancy centers in Varna and the results of a survey among 174 physicians from the same structures. Results: The regulatory and financial underestimation of the activities has led to shortages of staff and infrastructure, which poses a serious threat to specialized outpatient care.
