Faculty of Technical Sciences is a successor of rich traditions in the field of chemical - technological education set by opening of Institute of Chemical Technology "Prof. Dr. Assen Zlatarov" - Burgas in 1963. Today, at the Faculty highly qualified extensively profiled specialists in the field of Materials Technology, biotechnology, computer technology and electronics are trained.

Until now,they were graduated and successfully working in chemical and other industries more than 6500 engineers, of which more than 150 foreign citizens from Europe, Asia, Africa and America.

At the Faculty of Technical Sciences students and PhD are trained in the following specialties: :

Educational and research activity at the Faculty is carried out by academic staff of 75 lecturers, including 41 habilitated. From 33 persons without academic rank lecturers - 24 have a doctorate.

Faculty of Technical Sciences has 58 teaching and research laboratories with over 750 workplaces, equipped with specialized chemical and electronic equipment.

All specialties in the Faculty of Technical Sciences are accredited for training by the National Agency for Assessment and Accreditation.
