Department of "Chemical engineering" is the main chemical engineering department, the successor of the department "Process and apparatus", which is defined as a unit at the Department "General chemical technology" in 1968. It teaches all aspects of chemical technologies and is a leading Department of specialty "Chemical engineering".

- Processes and apparatuses in chemical Part I
for specialties: "Organic Chemical Technology", "Biotechnology", "Technology of materials", "Technology of Water", "Technology of silicates", "Technology of inorganic substances", "Technology of oil and gas", "Ecology and environmental "
Basic course in engineering preparation of all technological disciplines and provides knowledge on the main types of processes and apparatus in which the flow. The "Process and apparatus Part I" studied the basic laws of hydrodynamics of single-phase flow regimes of traffic flow, theoretical foundations and stages of physical modeling machines for the transport of fluids and hydro methods of separation of heterogeneous systems.

- Processes and apparatuses in chemical Part II
for specialties: "Organic Chemical Technology", "Biotechnology", "Technology of materials", "Water Technology", "Technology of silicates", "Technology of inorganic substances", "Technology of oil and gas"
The course is a continuation of "Process and apparatus Part I" and covers basic questions on heat transfer, mass transfer in theoretical foundations, statics, kinetics and devices layout of mass exchange processes absorption, rectification, extraction, drying and others. Knowledge of the course allows students to implement successfully apparatus- layout of a technology and to pursue the necessary structural and technological calculations.

- Engineering
for specialty "Industrial Management"
The course aims to introduce students to basic engineering problems of the types of processes in chemical technology. Also included are aspects of the movement of gases and liquids, their heat treatment, hydromechanical separation of heterogeneous systems, mass transfer processes of separation and the like. In view of the major emphasis is on the sources of loss of pressure, heat and substance, methods for reducing them, and the means of heat recovery of waste gases and products.

The course is designed to acquaint students with the structure and functionality of AutoCAD software application for creating, editing, storage and display of drawings and plans, and to create practical skills for working with him.

- Hydromechanical separation processes, includin a course project

The course provides students an understanding of the nature of the basic processes of separation of gas and liquid heterogeneous systems in chemical technology, introduces them to the laws of motion of disperse systems in resistance environment. The course addresses the main groups of processes and apparatus for: separation of gas heterogeneous systems, filtration, sedimentation, centrifugation, separation, grinding and others.

- Physico-chemical properties of fluids

The course introduces students to the basic methods for calculating characteristic constants, physicochemical and thermodynamic properties of pure substances and mixtures thereof.
